Mr. Daniel Yaw Addai Duah, a lecturer of the Department of Architecture, currently on study leave in Michigan State University, has made a donation to the departments of Architecture and Sociology. The items donated include four boxes of books, journals, CDs and videos.
In an address, Dr. Samuel Amos-Abanyie, a Senior Lecturer of the Department of Architecture who made the donation on behalf of Mr. Daniel Yaw Duah explained that most of the books were bought by Mr Duah, a few acquired from Michigan State University, and the rest were provided by Professor Matt Syal, a thesis adviser of Michigan State University. He hoped that the items donated would help facilitate the scholarly activities of both departments.
At the presentation was Professor E Badu, Provost of the College of Architecture and Planning and Professor S. Afranie, Provost of College of Arts and Social Sciences. Professor E Badu showed his appreciation for the donation and explained that it would help boost the college’s CA accreditation and also facilitate learning.

Mr. K Agyei-Gyasi, the Librarian for the College of Architecture and Planning, who received the books on behalf of the college, stated that the donation had come as a surprise, especially at a time the college was lobbying for books from the university library. He hoped that lecturers in other departments would emulate this gesture and support their departments.
